You will experience everything from the busy medinas of Fes and Marrakech to high Atlas mountain villages to the Sahara desert dunes. Enjoy spending time with locals who will offer you hospitality like you have never seen. Treating visitors like family is a trait that runs deep in Moroccan culture.
Upon your arrival to the airport in Fes, one of our team members will meet you at the airport and transport you to your riad/hotel. You will relax after your day’s journeys and get your first taste of the famous Moroccan tea. On the second day, your local guide will show you the best parts of Fes such as the University Al Kairaouine, the oldest university in the world, the tanneries, bronze artisans making beautiful lamps, fine textiles such as rugs or scarves, and so much more.
Over the next few days our guide will take you 1 hour out of Fes to the ancient Roman ruins of Volubilis; then journey north to the magical blue city of Chefchaouen. Then you will be whisked away to the capital Rabat. Rabat is currently the seat of the palace and is situated on the Atlantic coast. We then visit Meknes, one of the former imperial cities, steeped in history and old-world charm. We will stay one night in Ifrane; home of the Barbary Macaques and cedar forests.
After the busy life of the city, we will adjourn to the Sahara desert dunes. On this part of your Sahara desert tour, you will have the opportunity to ride a camel, sandboard down the dunes, and watch the sunset. At the end of your day, you will sleep in a luxury text, get an unobstructed view of some amazing stars and listen to Berber music, played for you on the drums by your camp hosts.
Saying goodbye to the dunes, you will travel to the Todgha Gorge. You can stop and walk the river gorge, which at its most awesome towers 160 meters high and is only 10 meters wide. Traveling over high Atlas mountain passes and through quaint mountain villages, you can see the local agriculture that is the number one industry in Morocco. View farms of date palm trees and almond trees, many of which will have locals working in the fields. Staying in the mountains, you will pass into the second valley, the Dades Gorge. Were we can relax and enjoy the hospitality of Berber village for the night.
You will stop and visit Kasbah Amridil, pass through Ouarzazate, and visit the famous UNESCO heritage site Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou. Cruising over another mountain pass, the highest one in Morocco 2260 meters.
We will then visit the bustling metropolis of Marrakech. Some phenomenal highlights of Marrakech include the Medinas where you can shop in souks, visit the oldest mosque of Al Koutobia, Jamaa el fenna square, and beautiful cultured gardens.
Our last stop will be Casablanca. You can visit the Hassan II Mosque which sits right on the edge of the Atlantic Ocean. Visit the Casablanca Medina with more souks and finish any last-minute shopping or relax on the beach or even visit Ricks cafe.
However, this being a private tour we can accommodate most needs. If you would like to finish your tour in Marrakech or even Fes, we can do that. We will try our best to make this experience as customized as possible, given our time constraints.

Today at 09:00 a local guide will take you to explore Fes, the cultural capital of Morocco. It’s primarily known for its Fes El Bali walled medina, with medieval architecture, vibrant souks, and an old-world atmosphere. Fes is the oldest imperial city founded by Idriss II. You will enjoy your private guided tour in Fes, which includes a visit to the Andalusian Mosque; in the Medina, we visit tanneries and the pottery district. In the afternoon we continue to visit Hispano-Moorish buildings, also the Medersas and Nejjarine. Overnight stay in local hotel/riad with Moroccan dinner ended the day in your Fes riad.
After breakfast, we will drive for 1 hour to visit the Roman ruins of Volubilis. We then travel for 3 hours to the magical blue city of Chefchaouen. Where you can spend all afternoon exploring the city on your own. We will stay in a Riad/hotel in Chefchaouen.
Chefchaouen is a hard city to leave, but we have to drive 4 hours to Rabat. Rabat is the capital of Morocco, home of the king's palace. Kasbah Odaya, Hassan II tower with the Mausoleum of Mohammed V. We then stay in Rabat at a riad/hotel.
Our 12-day Sarah desert tour continues after breakfast. We will travel for 2 hours to Meknes. Meknes was an imperial city for Molay Ismail. The main attraction is the square of Lahdeam and the Al Mansour Gate. We will enjoy lunch at Meknes and then drive to Ifrane where there is the cedar forest and the Barbary Macaque. You can spend as much of your time as you like there, as we will spend the night in Ifrane at a riad/hotel.
Leaving the city behind we drive to the Sahara desert. We drive from Ifrane through the middle Atlas mountains to Midlet which is famous for its apple agriculture. This is where we will take time for lunch. Then on our way to the desert, we will pass through the Ziz Valley famous for its date palm trees. Once we arrive at Merzoga desert our camels will be waiting to take us on a 90-minute camel ride to the top of the dunes for a beautiful sunset. Spending the night in a luxury camp and sleeping in a luxury tent.
After the beauty of the sunset last night and the relaxing evening below the stars, today we go on a more adventurous, we go off-road. We take a 4X4 vehicle to visit nomads who are known for their hospitality where we will have tea with them. Then we head to share the experience of African music in Khamlia village while we enjoy Berber pizza lunch. After lunch, we will visit a desert oasis and then head back to camp for another night in the Luxury Sahara camp.
Today after breakfast you can choose to explore further into the dunes by either 4x4 camp car or camel. We will discover ancient aquifers -khattara- of Al Jorf, continue on through the Todra Gorge where you can again choose to explore further into the gorge, walk along the river at the bottom of the canyon where the sheer cliffs tower above you 160 meters. We will stay in Todra Gorge for lunch. After lunch we continue on to Dades Gorge, stopping to take in the views of the monkey fingers mountains. Continuing on along a mountain pass, follow a road that snakes up and down steep mountains, and through a beautiful green valley we end the day at the riad/hotel for dinner and the remainder of the night.
After a delightful breakfast, we will leave the Dades Gorge at 08:30. We will drive to the Valley of the Roses, which is famous for the Festival of Roses in May. The next stop is the historic Kasbah Amridel. After lunch in Ouarzazate, we will have time to visit Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah. This Kasbah is recognized by UNESCO for its awesome heritage and historic value. Later in the afternoon, we will arrive at our riad/hotel in Marrakech.
Today a guide will take you deep into the Medina to encase yourself in winding paths and side streets where you can visit palaces such as Bahia- Bedie- Saadien tombs. We will also have time to visit the artisanal souks- you can see the artisans working bronze into beautiful masterpieces, and visit the tanneries for leather goods. Looking for spices? Here you can buy many different spices and herbs. Within the medina is also the square which is a melting pot of culture and heritage. You will finish your visit to Marrakech in the early evening, returning to your riad/hotel.
Enjoy your breakfast because, after this, we will leave at 09:00 for a 3-hour journey to Casablanca. In Casablanca, we can take a picture at Ricks Cafe and walk along Ain Diab beach along the Atlantic Ocean. After lunch, we will visit the Hassan II Mosque, the biggest mosque in Africa. You can take a tour inside the mosque to view all the beautiful Moroccan Architecture. We will end the day at our riad/hotel for dinner and a good night's rest before you end your tour tomorrow.
