Happy Valley Trek: 4 Days in the Ait Bouguemez Valley of the Central Atlas
Why Choose This Happy Valley Trek
This Happy Valley trek takes you to Ait Bouguemez, a green valley of the Central High Atlas that locals call the Happy Valley. To begin with, you drive from Marrakech into the mountains. Then you walk for two days between earth villages, fields and walnut trees, with views of the M’Goun massif, and sleep in Berber guesthouses.
Throughout the trek, a local guide shares the life and traditions of the valley. In fact, Ait Bouguemez is far from the busy routes, so the villages feel authentic and calm. As a result, it is ideal for travellers who want culture and gentle walking.

Expert tip from our mountain guides
Spring is the most beautiful season, when the valley is green and in bloom. In addition, bring warm clothes, because nights are cold at this altitude. Also, keep some cash for the small village shops.
