Marrakech City Tour: Stops of the Day
Morning: Koutoubia and the Bahia Palace
To begin with, your guide picks you up at your riad or hotel. Then you start at the Koutoubia, whose minaret of about 77 m rises above the medina. After that, you walk to the Bahia Palace, built in the late 19th century, with its zellige, carved cedar and quiet gardens.
Late Morning: The Saadian Tombs and the Kasbah
Then you visit the Saadian Tombs, the royal burial place of the 16th century Saadian sultans. In fact, the tombs were walled up for centuries and only found again in 1917. Along the way, you also see the old kasbah quarter and its gate, Bab Agnaou.
Midday: The Souks and Ben Youssef
Later, you walk through the souks, where each lane has its craft, for example leather, metal, spices or wood. Meanwhile, your guide shows you the artisans at work. Then you reach the Ben Youssef Madrasa, an old Koranic school with fine stucco. For lunch, you can stop at a riad or a rooftop café.

In the afternoon, you drive to the Majorelle Garden, with its cactus and famous blue walls. After that, you also see the Menara gardens and their pool facing the Atlas. Finally, you return to Jemaa el-Fna, where storytellers and food stalls fill the square at sunset.
