Why Choose This Skoura Oasis Bike Tour

This Skoura oasis bike tour takes you by mountain bike through one of the largest palm groves of southern Morocco, about 40 km east of Ouarzazate. To begin with, you meet your local guide and choose your bike. Then you ride on shaded paths between date palms, olive and fig trees, past earth villages and irrigated gardens, to Kasbah Amridil.

Throughout the ride, your guide also explains how the oasis lives from its ancient water channels. In fact, Kasbah Amridil dates from the 17th century and once appeared on the old 50 dirham banknote. As a result, the tour mixes easy cycling with real local culture.

In addition, you can add this ride to any desert tour that passes through Skoura, for example our 6 day tour from Marrakech or the 7 day Jbel Saghro and Sahara trip.

Expert tip from our local guides

Ride in the morning or late afternoon, because midday is hot from May to September. In addition, wear a hat, sunglasses and closed shoes or sport sandals. Also, bring water and some cash for the kasbah entrance and small purchases.
