Why Choose This 6 Day Tour from Marrakech

This 6 day tour from Marrakech is a complete southern loop with time to enjoy each place. To begin with, you cross the High Atlas to Ait Ben Haddou and Ouarzazate. Then you follow the Road of a Thousand Kasbahs to the Dades and Todra gorges, before two nights in the Erg Chebbi dunes.

Throughout the trip, you also travel with your own English-speaking driver in a private 4×4. As a result, daily drives stay shorter than on a 3 or 4 day tour. In fact, the route back follows the palm groves of the Draa Valley, so you never drive the same road twice.

However, if you have less time, see our 5 day Merzouga tour. Also read how many days in Morocco you need.

Then you leave the dunes and visit the market town of Rissani. After that, you cross the south to the palm groves of the Draa Valley, where you sleep.

Finally, you drive through Ouarzazate and over the High Atlas. As a result, you reach Marrakech in the late afternoon.

Expert tip from our drivers

Pack a small bag for the two desert nights, because the main bags stay in the 4×4. In addition, bring layers, since the Atlas and the desert are cold at night in winter. Also, the second desert day is free, so tell us if you prefer quad bikes or a quiet day.
