10 Days in Morocco from Marrakech: Day-by-Day Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Marrakech
To begin with, your driver meets you at Marrakech airport and takes you to your riad. Then you have free time, for example for a first walk to Jemaa el-Fna at sunset.
Day 2: Marrakech with a Local Guide
In the morning, a licensed guide shows you the Koutoubia, the Bahia Palace and the souks. After that, you also visit the Majorelle Garden. In the afternoon, you have free time to shop or relax in your riad.
Day 3: Marrakech – Tichka Pass – Ait Ben Haddou – Dades
Then you cross the High Atlas on the Tichka pass and visit the UNESCO ksar of Ait Ben Haddou. Later, you pass Ouarzazate, Skoura and the Valley of Roses. In the evening, you reach your hotel in the Dades Valley.
Day 4: Dades – Todra Gorge – Merzouga
In the morning, you walk in the Todra gorge between its high cliffs. Then you drive east past Erfoud to Merzouga. Later, you ride a camel into the Erg Chebbi dunes for sunset and a night in a desert camp.
Day 5: Merzouga – Ziz Valley – Ifrane – Fes
After sunrise on the dunes, you drive north through the Ziz Valley and the Middle Atlas. Along the way, you also stop in the cedar forest near Azrou and in Ifrane. As a result, you reach Fes in the evening.
Day 6: Fes with a Local Guide
Then a licensed guide leads you through Fes el Bali, from the Blue Gate to the Bou Inania Madrasa and the Chouara Tannery. In the afternoon, you have free time in the souks.
Day 7: Fes – Volubilis – Meknes – Chefchaouen
